PMV is involved in developing brownfields. These are neglected or under-used industrial sites requiring structural measures. Entrepreneurs can come directly to PMV with a project and business plan. Brownfields are neglected or under-used sites. They are so polluted that they can only be re-used with structural measures. PMV structures and finances brownfield projects for Flanders. It does so as initiative-taker, facilitator or as investor. PMV has also developed a Dutch language guide for area and brownfield development. It is available upon request.

Blue Gate Antwerp
Blue Gate Antwerp, the former "Petroleum South" investment zone in Antwerp, is heavily polluted with oil, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, benzene and heavy metals. The PMV project company is doing something about it.
The PMV subsidiary Novovil nv reconverts and develops former industrial sites in the Vilvoorde region.
One of the larger brownfields in Flanders lies in Willebroek-North. PMV is co-financing the zone’s redevelopment.
